Justin Vernon - Bon Iver Recently.. My friends Magnus Berger and Tenzin Wild started a new magazine called, The Last Magazine. I am so proud of them for taking a chance in a hard time for magazines (when many are folding) and creating something very very special. I had wanted to shoot Bon Iver a year prior for a L’uomo Vogue music portfolio i was doing at festivals.. back then it didn’t logistically work out. So when Magnus and Tenzin asked if i would shoot Bon Iver… I jumped at the chance. The only catch was they would not be back in NY for a long time and were on tour..so i booked a flight to meet the band in Ft Lauderdale at a small venue show.. Justin and the band were so welcoming and fun to shoot.. . i recall sitting in the green room before the show. it was the NBA finals.. we were all transfixed to the flat screen and a strange concoction the band likes to drink before they go on ( i forget the name cause i had 3 of them)..
