Last night i finally got to watch Tiny Furniture (written, directed and acted by Lena Dunham).. i Loved this small honest film about a young woman finding her way here in NYC after graduating and moving back home.. Lena and i took these pics right before the film came out.. Lena is a wonderful, charming, intelligent woman & a real pleasure to be around..
Last night I was invited to a special EP release performance of Oh Land.. by Sony Music at Hiro Ballroom. I shot Nanna Øland for a portfolio of young up and coming musicians, designers, actors & writers and artists for Blackbook Magazine.. Nanna (yes, that’s her name) was a ballerina and now is Sony’s new Danish, electropop “it girl”.. she has an ethereal voice and sound.. When we shot.. I blew up a bunch of balloons and i told Nanna to play a game i used to play as a child.. “don’t let the balloons hit the ground!” for the most part.. she didn’t.. Funny, last night her stage was decorated with a bunch of Balloons check out Oh Land
its been awhile since i have posted to my photodiary. I been busy shooting and traveling.., Yesterday i watched a new Showtime program called Shameless.. staring Emmy Rossum and William H Macy.. I was impressed with the writing, directing and acting and have found a new show i will make sure to watch when i am snowed in this winter…I had taken these pics of Emmy for Interview Magazine.. Emmy reminded me of Audry Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.. so we followed how she inspired me for the shoot…

a couple of days ago i began a book project based off of my personal home sittings & movement.. After i finished my shoots down in miami.. The art world descended on Miami for Art Basel.. which meant many many events and friends to see… I ran into my friend and Great Photographer Ryan at the Mondrian pool… always great to see him..
